Lima L149439 Set of 3 Irish Rail Mk2 Coaches  Eirnod Eireann  V Rare,  Inter-city  , to run with the Class 201 River Class or Class 071s on the Dublin to Belfast services.

This is an extremely rare set of 3 Irish Rail standard class Mk2D Coaches  in the very popular Irish Rail orange and black livery.

There were made in very small numbers as little as 150 sets and sold via Murphys models in Dublin in the early 2000s.

First time i have every had a set and in fact the first time i have ever handled them.

They are of course the standard Ex BR Lima Mk2d coaches with a very special paint job.

These have all had passengers added and interior Led  working lights and done to an excellent standard on average about 15 passengers per coach and look superb.

The lighting units are a strip light of Leds which  are powered via a cable connection through the end of each coach which went to

a brake coach that had a power feed to the track, so they are not usable unless powered by an internal 3v battery, or added pock ip strips to the wheelsets, easy to do if you are pretty hands on.

These vehicles are very clean and tidy, have been very well looked after, they are in near perfect condition , very clean and unmarked as far as i can see. All buffers and couplings are intact.

Vehicles fitted with Bachmann or Hornby metal disc wheels, not Lima

Coach numbers printed on the connector ends are 5216, 5225 and 5235.

Model condition 9/10    Box 8/10 some minor age related scratches and scuffs along the seams , no rips or tears very tidy
