This Hornby R2128 Co-Co Diesel Electric Class 37 Locomotive “EDDIE STOBART LTD” No. 995 of 1000 is used and in very good condition.

Classed as Pre owned as its over 20 years old now but as New.       OO gauge. 4MM

This will make a super Christmas Gift for Any Stobart fan.   Its a rare item so hence it commands a hefty price tag these days.

A very unusual model produced as a Limited Production run for the Eddie Stobart Collectors Club during 1998

Model depicted is The BR Standard Class 37 Type 3  and painted in this very colourful livery , it looks superb to be honest  , i cant recall a real 37 ever appearing in this livery but it was done at the time of Privatisation from BR and several small operators tried to get into the freight handling market as such Stobart  teamed up with Malcolm Logistics on container traffic trials in Scotland sadly after a short period of running it was felt unviable due to track access charges and  the service was scrapped some months later.

On a more positive note Stobart / Malcolm re entered the container traffic business during 2004 and still currently now operates succesfully using DRS as its prime Power source from Scotland down to the Midlands and London.

Based at Carlisle and Grangemouth

Model has only been test run only and runs very well so its seen very little use, its clean and tidy and has unmarked paintwork.

Sadly not fitted with any lighting or a DCC socket but we can help with that if needed.
