Heljan 2538 BR Class 25 Bo-Bo 25912 Tamworth Castle in Ice Cream Van Livery
OO Gauge 4mm
A Pre-owned model in superb condition and appears to be test run only.
A very highly detailed model released during 2021, has full bufferbeam detail at one end.
The model is pristine and unmarked and looks very smart in this wrap around livery applied to it whilst attending the BR Depot Tamworth Rail Week Celebrations in 1985 where it was given its unofficial name by Tyseley Depot Staff for the occasion,
The Sulzer Type 2 is a very popular loco and suited to all types of work, this was re-numbered from 25322 to 25912 sub Class and often used in pairs with other class members on fuel tank trains from Ellesmere Port / Stanlow to Yorkshire and Ballast workings to and from North Wales to the North West and West Midlands.
Eventually this celebrity loco was re-numbered back to 25322 and painted into BR two tone Green as D7672 with a proper cast nameplate for its final years and became an Open Day and Railtour favourite and Depot mascot for Leeds Holbeck Depot 55A . It was the last class 25 in traffic until being withdrawn in 1989.
The model runs superbly well albeit the motor emitting a little noisy over its Bachmann counterpart.
Model is dcc ready with a 21 pin socket on board and running with bi directional lighting all working correctly.
Comes with full compliment of detailing packs all unused and instructions.
Model condition 9/10. Box 8/10. Has a tiny rip about 10mm on corner of label end.
